Designed for non-professional responders required to have CPR and AED knowledge or for those who simply want to help in an emergency, the CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace program teaches the skills to respond in a cardiac emergency. This course focuses on sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, airway obstruction, CPR, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Program content is based on the American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC as well as other evidence-based treatment recommendations.
